As a regular Nandos fan I’m so into the collection of peri peri sauces for their grilled chicken. Sometimes I just wanna take them home.
How about I make mine was the thought, not wasting too much time I took to a flight to Portugal to learn how to make it. I managed to get the recipe which I have provided below along with a description. As usual I gave it a twist and Viola!! – Minty lemon and herb peri peri. Check it out below.
Ingredients
20 Bird’s Eye chillies for that hot sensation
6 garlic cloves
Juice of 1 whole lemon
*For the minty lemon and herb flavour use 2 lemon juice
1 cup of vinegar, I used malt vinegar cos its alcohol free
2 tbs of paprika
1 tbs of sugar (Preference)
1 onion
2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of black pepper
1 tsp of white pepper
3 tbs of olive oil
It’s quite simple and straightforward to prepare. Add all the ingredients above into a food processor add some water and blend. After that cook for about an hour on a very low heat, allow to cool down and boom!!!
Apply the same method for the minty lemon flavour and after cooking add the herbs (oregano, bay leaves or any other herbs based on preference) then add some crushed mint leaves and where is the chicken?
Lets do this CIAO!!!!!
I’m so excited with coming across d chef dudu’s website because I really love cooking
